Denmark, located in the Central European Time (CET) zone, which is GMT+1 during standard time, observes Daylight Saving Time (DST), shifting to Central European Summer Time (CEST), which is GMT+2.
Here’s a summary of the current and future DST rules in Denmark for a website:

Standard Time (CET – GMT+1)
Starts: Last Sunday in October at 02:00 AM CEST (clocks are set back one hour to 01:00 AM CET)
Ends: Last Sunday in March at 02:00 AM CET (clocks are set forward one hour to 03:00 AM CEST).

Daylight Saving Time (CEST – GMT+2)
Starts: Last Sunday in March at 02:00 AM CET (clocks are set forward one hour to 03:00 AM CEST)
Ends: Last Sunday in October at 02:00 AM CEST (clocks are set back one hour to 01:00 AM CET).

We ask you in the strongest way NOT to include, in what you send us, any indirect or direct information about these subjects:

  • Information about family matters, including marital status, plans to have children, or caregiving responsibilities.
  • Age-related information, unless directly relevant to the role due to legal or regulatory requirements.
  • Similarly, information regarding ethnicity, race, nationality, or immigration status (unless they pertain specifically to work permits or legal employment eligibility).
  • Religious beliefs.
  • Sexual preferences.
  • Health and disability-related matters, including past or present medical conditions, pregnancy, or fertility treatments.
  • Financial matters such as personal debts or investments, as well as a candidate’s criminal record (unless the role specifically requires a clean criminal background check).
  • Social media activity, leisure activities, or personal networks unrelated to the role.

This is information we do not wish to have recorded, and we also recommend that this is not included in your application material.

We naturally comply with current EU and Danish legislation and must inform you that the information we receive from you is confidential. By submitting this information, you consent to our storing, processing, reviewing, and assessing the material you choose to send. According to the four data laws from the EU, the designated guidelines, and the applicable legislation on data in Denmark, this consent can always be withdrawn, upon which your data will be deleted. However, we must be able to prove that your data was received and subsequently deleted, which is why we retain your first name, surname, and email address.

The Danish Data Protection Act, known as Databeskyttelsesloven, supplements the GDPR and introduces additional provisions specific to Denmark. It ensures the protection of personal data in accordance with both EU regulations and national requirements.
